During the month of October, the Waimea Arts Council is presenting their annual juried art show, open to all WAC members, new and long- standing. The show will be on exhibit from October 3 – November 10 at the Firehouse Gallery in Waimea. The exhibit includes paintings in all mediums plus drawings, sculptures, woodwork and photographs from artists all over the island. Cash awards will be presented to the winners at a reception to be held on Saturday, October 5 at the gallery. The public is invited to attend and pupus will be served.
This year’s invited juror is Pat Hall, a respected professional artist of Hawaii since 1963. Her artwork has been featured in numerous state shows and is in many private collections
throughout our Islands and the mainland. She’s represented in the permanent collection of State Foundation for Culture and the Arts and has illustrated several books. Pat works mostly in watercolor, but she is equally comfortable working with pen + ink, oils or acrylics, pastels, and the full gamut of printmaking. She’s well known for both serious and whimsical styles.
