This popular annual juried art show, which is sponsored by the Waimea Arts Council, is open to current and new members of the Waimea Arts Council. Membership is open to all adults 18 and older. Exhibition dates for this show are September 30, 2022 – November 27, 2022.
This year’s invited judges are Kanaka Maoli Moses Kealamakia, an award-winning artist and teacher who has recently returned to his birthplace, Waimea, Mary Spears, an active art instructor whose design work encompasses logo creation to fabric, and Martin Sanchez, artist and Smart Shark Designs Gallery owner.
All art and fine craft will be accepted in this show. $300 First Prize Award. Other cash awards will be determined by the number of entries. The non-refundable entry fee is $15 per entry. Due to space limitations at the Firehouse Gallery the maximum size for any entry is 36×36”. Artwork must be submitted at the Firehouse Gallery, 67-1201 Mamalahoa Hwy., Kamuela, HI between the hours of 11 am to 3 pm by Saturday and Sunday, September 24 & 25, 2022. Winners will be announced at opening reception on Saturday, October 1 at Firehouse Gallery, 2-5 pm.
