Date of show: July 1 – August 28, 2022
Theme: HUAKA’I
Entries due June 25 & June 26, 2022 – see prospectus for locations to deliver artwork.
This juried competition, open to all Big Island artists, pushes participant creativity beyond the norm. The invited Jurors: Stephen Freedman And Philippe F. Nault, are eager to see HUAKA’I realized in a wide variety of ways.
So what does HUAKA’I mean? It translates to journey, trip, and voyage. Artists are asked to express this theme through their art. Not an easy task, but the challenge is met with cash prizes totaling $1200 and will be solely awarded at the Jurors’ discretion. See prospectus for complete details.
